car on dirt road

Well suited for a self-drive holiday, Yorke Peninsula is an easy 90 minute drive from Adelaide.  Simply head north along the highway until you reach Port Wakefield.

Once through the town, follow the road left towards Yorke Peninsula, as signposted.

Turn left at the Federation Park roundabout and follow the road south. Travel at your own pace, stopping to take in the sights. The driving is easy, and there are no traffic lights!

Fuel is available in most towns, with some having 24 hour fuel availability, but be mindful that petrol stations can close early in these easy-going country towns.

If you don't wish to drive, Yorke Peninsula Coach Lines operate between Adelaide, Port Wakefield and all the major towns through to Yorketown. Alternatively, local tour operators can provide transfers from Adelaide.
