Distance: 41.1km (10 hours 12 minutes)

Heading north from Balgowan, cyclists and walkers follow the shared trail past Tiparra Rocks and The Bamboos before reaching The Gap. There is a shelter here with seating and a small water tank attached.

From here, walkers will follow the beach all the way to Moonta Bay. Follow the coastline around Cape Elizabeth, and on to Port Hughes. From there it's just a short walk along trail and beach until reaching Moonta Bay.

Leaving The Gap, cyclists will follow The Gap Road, turning left into Nalyappa Road. Continue to the intersection with Coopers Beach Road, then turn right and follow the signs into Moonta Bay.

Please refer to our Trail Notes for further information.

Walk the Yorke is a linear trail covering approximately 500kms, and all distances mentioned are one way unless otherwise indicated.
